Additionally, when App Protection is enabled, the app uses the Device Administrator permission. The Wi-Fi Security feature also requires location permission to identify the Wi-Fi network you're connected to, but it does not access or track your actual location. Moreover, with Web Filtering active, the app uses the Android Accessibility Service API to check links opened in supported web browsers. Link addresses may be sent to SophosLabs for content evaluation, but no personal information is collected.

In terms of battery and data usage, malware definitions update once a day, utilizing a small amount of data, while the initial full scan of each installed app may temporarily increase battery consumption.

With regards to data safety, the app does not store your web browsing history. If the app is managed by Sophos Mobile, your organization can access details regarding blocked or warned web pages.
